What You’ll Do

  • Spot Opportunities Before Others Do: Identify and evaluate strategic funding programs aligned with our R&D and commercial goals.
  • Shape Winning Proposals: Lead proposal creation, coordinating diverse internal teams and influential external partners.
  • Build and Lead World-Class Consortia: Negotiate roles, establish governance, and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Deliver with Excellence: Ensure financial compliance, transparent reporting, and audit readiness for government-funded projects.
  • Be the Bridge: Serve as TESCAN’s key representative to governmental agencies, industry leaders, and strategic stakeholders.

  • Securing and initiating high-value collaborative funded projects.
  • Building trusted, effective partnerships across borders.
  • Delivering tangible project outcomes leading zo commercial or strategic impact (e.g, prototypes of a new product line, patents, publications).
  • Aligning public funding with TESCAN’s long-term R&D and market growth objectives.

 

Your Background

  • Business Development Experience: Robust ability to drive business development by proactively seeking, identifying, designing, and developing projects for funding.
  • Academic Excellence: Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Deep Industry Roots: 5–10 years’ expertise in semiconductor processes and a strong professional network in the sector.
  • Proven Track Record: Successful experience in Horizon Europe, Eureka, US Chips Act, or equivalent large-scale funding programs.
  • Financial & Strategic Acumen: Skilled in turning opportunities into viable, funded projects with measurable impact.
  • Global Collaboration Skills: Exceptional project management, cross-cultural communication, and partnership-building abilities.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (French or German a strong plus).
