Student Part-Time Position - Electronics Development for Electron Microscopes

Are you studying electrical engineering, electronics, or a related technical field and looking to put your knowledge into practice? Join Tescan's electronics and electromechanical development team, where you'll work with real hardware for electron microscopes, learn from experienced engineers, and gradually take on more challenging development tasks.

What You'll Do

  • Bring electronic prototypes to life through testing, troubleshooting, and validation.

  • Prepare and update technical documentation and engineering drawings.

  • Contribute to the development of hardware that controls electron beams, processes imaging signals, and collects data from detectors, vacuum sensors, and temperature sensors.

  • Work with mechanical components, connectors, and cable assemblies used in electronic systems.

  • Gradually take on more complex development tasks as your knowledge, confidence, and experience grow.

What You'll Bring

  • You're studying electrical engineering, electronics, or a related technical field at university, ideally in your second year or beyond.

  • You understand the fundamentals of electronics and have hands-on experience building and measuring electrical or electronic circuits at safe voltage levels.

  • You enjoy practical work and have tried at least some of the following: designing simple circuits, soldering, assembling electronic components, or connecting switches and connectors.

  • You're curious about analog circuits and interested in calculations and simulations.

  • You're comfortable reading and working with technical documentation in English.

  • You can work at least 10 hours per week at our Brno-Kohoutovice site.

  • You're looking for an opportunity to gain meaningful experience over several months, ideally alongside your studies on a long-term basis.
