Electronics Design Engineer II
We are looking for a new colleague to join our development department for Electron Microscopes. As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing electronic modules, assemblies, and subsystems, and collaborating with other teams across various technical disciplines. You’ll join a team of ten experienced colleagues who share a passion for electronics both professionally and personally.
This position is suitable for talented graduates of technical university programs or junior engineers eager to apply their knowledge and gain experience. It's also ideal for more experienced specialists who are curious to dive into the specifics of electron microscopy. Your experience and skill level will be taken into account when assigning you to development projects.
What You’ll Do
-
Collaboration with system engineers and experienced teammates to discuss requirements for new electronic modules and subsystems or modifications to existing ones.
-
Initially, your tasks will include designing various assemblies for the microscope—such as cables and electromechanical units—and their documentation.
-
You will then move on to more advanced electronic module designs, including circuit schematics, component selection, calculations, simulations, prototyping, and gathering design-related information.
-
PCB layout implementation—either independently or in cooperation with a layout designer—as well as working with mechanical engineers on mechanical aspects of modules or assemblies.
-
Creating module documentation—at different stages of development, this includes varying levels of detail (schematics, development reports, etc.).
-
Testing functional prototypes, optimizing designs, implementing redesigns, and gathering feedback from colleagues.
-
Team collaboration on system-level device design and release into production, including cooperation with the engineering department.
What You’ll Bring
-
Secondary or university degree in a technical field, preferably with a focus on electronics.
-
Ability to independently tackle tasks and propose solutions.
-
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
-
Active knowledge of English at B2 level or higher, both spoken and written.
Nice to Have
-
Previous experience in a similar role.
-
Hands-on experience with personal projects—schematic design, component application, PCB layout, electromechanical design, etc.
-
Programming skills in Python.
-
Technical curiosity and motivation to understand the technical specifics of electron microscopes.
