Purchasing Engineer

We are looking for a Value Engineering professional who can turn a good idea into measurable savings. In this role, you will connect Procurement, suppliers, R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing, identify smarter technical solutions, and help reduce the cost of purchased parts from initial analysis through successful implementation.

What you will do

  • Analyze costs and purchasing spend for existing and new bills of materials and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Propose design, material, and technology alternatives that maintain the required functionality and quality while improving cost efficiency.
  • Monitor technology and market trends and look for opportunities to apply them in practice.
  • Manage the implementation of approved cost-saving projects from concept through implementation.
  • Coordinate the teams involved and continuously evaluate the results achieved.
  • Work closely with Strategic Procurement, R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Category Managers on new materials, technologies, and supplier strategies for products and development projects.

What we expect

  • You have a university degree in a technical field.
  • You bring at least 5 years of experience in a similar engineering or design role.
  • You understand technical solutions, manufacturing processes, and the implementation of new designs into production.
  • You can analyze costs and turn a technical proposal into a concrete financial benefit.
  • You approach problem-solving systematically and pay attention to both technical details and requirements.
  • You can communicate clearly with experts from different technical fields, including topics outside your own area of expertise.
  • You can align different perspectives and collaborate across Procurement, Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
  • You are comfortable communicating in English in your day-to-day work.
