System Engineer with a focus on physics


The system engineer collaborates on the design of a complex transmission electron microscope (TEM) system or its components and plays a significant role in the development, testing, and implementation of strategies for controlling this microscope.

What You'll Do

  • Perform experiments on the microscope, evaluate data
  • Implement new functionalities in software for internal (finalization and service) and external customers under the guidance of more experienced engineers
  • Apply basic knowledge of microscopy in the development and testing of systems
  • Gradually acquire a deeper understanding of the key components of the system and the functioning of the instrument 
  • Use the basic functions of computing software such as EOD or Comsol
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation 

What You'll Bring

  • University degree in physics, physical engineering, etc.
  • Basic programming experience (even from school or personal projects), ideally in Python
  • Interest in microscopy, physics, or the development of complex technical equipment
  • Ability to learn new things and gradually build deeper expertise
  • Carefulness and responsibility when working with technical documentation
  • Knowledge of English for working with technical materials and Czech for working with Production teams
