Electronics Design Team Leader II

Lead a larger R&D electronics engineering team working across complex and business-critical product and technology areas. You will combine people leadership with technical credibility, helping the team deliver consistently while building sustainable capability for the future.

What You’ll Do

• Own delivery planning, capacity coordination, and commitments across multiple or complex engineering workstreams.
• Lead and develop your team, evaluate performance, and build strong succession and back-up coverage.
• Ensure consistent delivery governance, quality, and technical practices across the team.
• Manage risks and dependencies and make informed resource, sequencing, and technical trade-off decisions.
• Resolve cross-workstream challenges and provide clear, evidence-based options when escalation is needed.
• Coordinate senior engineers and workstream leads and represent the team in functional governance.
• Contribute to strategic discussions around products, platforms, technologies, and engineering capabilities.

What You’ll Bring

• An MSc in a relevant field or equivalent technical experience.
• Deep experience in electronics engineering and complex product development.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering successfully across multiple workstreams or strategically important technology areas.
• A strong understanding of product architecture, lifecycle, verification, and functional standards.
• The ability to balance technical expertise with effective delegation and people leadership.
• A thoughtful approach to planning, prioritization, risk management, and technical decision-making.
• Strong collaboration and conflict-resolution skills, with the confidence to connect team decisions to wider product and business outcomes.
• Fluent English.
