Financial Accountant – Temporary Maternity Cover
Join TESCAN’s Finance team in Shanghai and take responsibility for full-cycle accounting activities during a fixed-term maternity cover period. You will support accurate financial records, timely closing and reporting, and compliance with local statutory and tax requirements. This temporary position will be employed through a third-party staffing agency.
What You’ll Do
• Manage daily general ledger accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Review, prepare, and record journal entries, ensuring that all business transactions are recorded accurately and completely.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, deferrals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with TESCAN Group accounting policies and local statutory requirements.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, including value-added tax, corporate income tax, and other applicable taxes.
• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Complete other finance-related assignments requested by the Finance Controller.
What You’ll Bring
• At least five years of experience in general ledger or financial accounting.
• Solid experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, and tax filing.
• Good knowledge of applicable accounting standards and Chinese tax regulations.
• Previous experience working in a multinational or foreign-invested company would be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet reporting deadlines.
• A proactive, self-driven approach and willingness to contribute to process improvement.
• Availability to join within a relatively short timeframe would be an advantage.
