As a Customer Operations Supervisor, you'll lead inventory planning, materials readiness, forecasting, and logistics activities that ensure customers receive the right parts and systems at the right time. You'll work across Sales, Service, Operations, and Supply Chain to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and support exceptional customer outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Lead inventory planning, spare parts management, and stocking strategies to maximize customer service levels while maintaining working capital discipline.
- Develop and refine forecasting processes that improve material readiness and operational performance.
- Oversee logistics planning and coordination for instrument shipments (domestic and international) and customer deliveries, including interacting with customs.
- Monitor inventory health, inventory accuracy, backorders, and fulfillment performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen customer support.
- Partner closely with Service, Sales, Finance, Operations, and suppliers to align priorities and resolve challenges.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for material availability issues affecting customer commitments and business performance.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in international shipping and customs knowledge, inventory planning, materials management, logistics, or supply chain operations within a technical or capital equipment environment.
- Strong understanding of demand forecasting, inventory control, and logistics processes.
- Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and advanced data analysis tools.
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements while balancing customer needs and business objectives.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
